杨志谦,1952年生于江苏南通市通州区川姜镇,川姜镇是国际家纺名城,与法兰克福,纽约第五大道齐名,是国际家纺产业基地。这里的人们勤劳勇敢,勤奋好学,能吃苦耐劳,民风淳朴,知书达礼,又有爱文喜武的优良传统,因为我从小耳孺目染,而爱画喜武。1979年定居上海。使我很荣幸的在上海工作四十余年,与上海人建立了深厚的友谊,上海人特别热情,聪明,待人和善,乐意助人,没有地方保护主义,我有许多的良师是上海人。自幼喜绘画、爱武术,没有上过任何的艺术学院,绘画曾得吉谷先生和伏文彦等多位老师指导。1983年成为基督徒。2005年中澳文化节中国画展中《云山飞瀑图》荣获金奖,2007年奥运杯书画展《云飘千里图》荣获金奖。2009年黄山杯全国书画摄影大展作品《青松飞云图》及《绿水青山图》荣获金奖。2008年“状元杯”国际书画大赛中荣获状元奖。
